Who we are
Island Claims is a licensed Hawaii public adjusting firm (Hawaii Public Adjuster License #553921) representing property owners in insurance claims. Island Claims is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Information, not advice
The guides, checklists, and answers on this site (including responses from our website chat assistant) are general educational information about Hawaii property insurance claims. They are not legal, financial, or insurance advice, are not a substitute for reading your own policy, and do not create a client relationship. Your rights depend on your policy, your facts, and current Hawaii law. A Complimentary Claim Review is a conversation with a licensed public adjuster; any representation begins only when you and Island Claims sign a written public adjuster contract that complies with Hawaii law.
No guarantees
We do not promise any particular result, settlement amount, or timeline. Where we mention past results, they are real past results and not a promise about your claim. Every claim is different.
Complimentary reviews
Our policy, claim, and damage reviews are complimentary. There is no obligation to hire us. Fees for representation, if any, are stated only in a signed written contract.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
When you opt in, Island Claims may send you text messages about your request and claim — scheduling, reminders, document requests, and status updates — and, if you subscribed, occasional Bulletin updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; reply HELP or call (808) 808-3778 for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Website chat assistant
Our website chat may be answered by an automated assistant. It can answer general questions and help you book a review, but it cannot evaluate your claim or give advice. Anything it says is subject to these terms. A licensed public adjuster reviews every request.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site: no scraping, no attempts to access other people's information, no uploading of malicious files, and no unlawful content. Files you upload must be yours to share.
Intellectual property
The Island Claims name, logo, guides, and site content are owned by Island Claims. You may share links and quote short excerpts with attribution; please don't republish our content without permission.
Third-party links and services
We link to government and other resources (FEMA, Hawaii Insurance Division, county agencies). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content. Scheduling, chat, and messaging are provided through third-party platforms subject to their own terms.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Island Claims is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or its information. Nothing in these terms limits duties we owe you under a signed public adjuster contract or Hawaii law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Maui County, Hawaii, unless the law requires otherwise.
